Can we, become better business leaders of our small companies by leading thru example ?

Like most of us (I am assuming this), I sometimes wonder that can I make a difference in the society that we live in…..is there something special about all the BIG people who have a direct impact on the society…..am I too small a fry to make a difference… There is a small (almost insignificant) traffic light close to my house. Nobody (including myself) ever bothers to look at the color of its eyes…

KRA

Before going the JD and KRA way, place special emphasis on orienting, educating and coaching people on what this system means and why it is being implemented. Make them understand that JD and KRA's are nothing but like a lighthouse (a self-direction finder) Don't implement it in one shot. Make it a two-step implementation i.e. in the first year let JD and KRA's be there but do not use them for any serious employee related decisions. Tell people that you won't and then actually don't.

Hiring

As leaders we have many responsibilities including that to the business we are leading (and by implication the customers we manage) and the people who work for us. Always remember the people who work for us are not just people, they have a family, a status in the social world they live in, their dreams, ambitions, fears etc.

BSE launches institutional trading platform on BSE SME

Country's premier stock exchange BSE Ltd today launched institutional trading platform in the BSE SME segment to facilitate the start-up companies and SMEs to list without IPO. The launch of BSE SME ITP is consequent to SEBI's provision in ICDR (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) guidelines allowing SMEs to list on the exchange without bringing in initial public offer (IPO).
